Product Description

This normally closed electro-proportional throttle valve is spring-biased closed, with energizing the coil generating an opening force on the spool proportional to the command current. This force is countered by spring and flow forces, creating a metering orifice whose effective size is proportional to the current.

  • Features large degree of self-compensation in 1-to-2 direction
  • Provides proportional flow control in 2-to-1 direction with external compensator
  • Capable of full reverse flow (2-to-1) with 100% command without compensator
  • Available in normally open or normally closed configurations with three capacity ranges
  • Operates at pressures up to 5000 psi (350 bar) with low leakage in closed position
  • Interchangeable coils with Sun's other full flow solenoid-operated valves
  • Multiple manual override options available
  • Recommended amplifier with current sensing and adjustable dither (100-250 Hz)
  • Floating style construction minimizes internal parts binding
